Unfortunately, this is not a joke. It was mailed to the so-called usher co-ordinators and supervisors prior to one of the Long Beach programs in the mid 90's. There was a husband-wife team at the time with the husband as head of security and the wife in charge of the ushers. Everyone thought they were very conscious. Now, that was a joke!

That must be the new premie-speak. I'm way behind. Back in my day, people were 'very devoted' or sometimes 'in their heads'.

I like the 'very conscious' one. It means absolutely nothing and is just about as watered down and tepid as you can get.

Categorization:

Coma----no eye opening, no ability to follow commands, no word verbalizations (3-8)

Head Injury Classification:

Severe head injury----GCS score of 8 or less

Moderate Head Injury----GCS score of 9 to 12

Minor Head Injury----GCS score of 13 to 15

the glascow coma scale....

I say that they all seem to display signs of minor head injury because none of them could get the full 5 points on the verbal response. Some, like our long lost Keith, are totally incomprehensible, others, like Melbourne et al, would get three or four points but never 5, confused conversation but able to answer questions occaisionally but mostly innappropriate responses with discernable words.
