Hey, we're not here to save the world. We're here so that Rawat's revisionism and attempts to dismiss our collective experience of following his direction and what he actually said and did is not forgotten. Rawat himself has demontrated that he is quite capable of being bereft of humanity, controlled by greed, divisiveness and hate towards his own followers and former followers. There are many avenues to be pursued that can lead to a more peaceful world, including meditation of course, and people that are looking will find. But when a so-called Perfect Master or Lord avoids any acknowledgement or responsibility for his past actions then we rightly say: buyer beware.
There are many avenues to be pursued that can lead to a more peaceful world, including meditation of course, and people that are looking will find. I was looking. And I found Knowledge. It brings me peace. Why not bugger off and let others who are looking for peace find it? But when a so-called Perfect Master or Lord avoids any acknowledgement or responsibility for his past actions then we rightly say: buyer beware. What "past actions"? What does he have to answer to you for?
"Why not bugger off and let others who are looking for peace find it?"
You mean keep silent about M's past. Yeah, that would be really convenient for him, wouldn't it? Like it would be so convenient for a thief if the police would just "bugger off" and let him steal things in peace.
"What does he have to answer to you for?"
Why, what is he, God? (That's the only person in the universe not answerable for his actions, you see.)
'What "past actions"?'
How about: Forbidding drug use while using drugs. Forbidding sex while sleeping with his secretary. Forbidding alcohol while downing quarts of brandy. Dissing materialism while living a life of conspicuous materialism. Giving ex-cathedra orders that wrecked peoples' academic lives, careers and relationships and wasted decades of their time. Claiming to be a satguru and perfect master. Claiming omniscience. Claiming he is the source of grace. Scaring people with stories of "rotting vegetables" if they dare to walk away and live their own lives. Bullying the people around him. Being violent. Drunk driving. Demanding fidelity from his wife while having adulterous affairs and keeping a mistress. Killing a cyclist and hiding this fact from premies. Having people work for him in illegal and unsafe conditions (DECA). Ordering people into ashrams then closing them when they became inconvenient. Sheltering a paedophile.
Will that do for starters? That's just off the top of my head, of course. There would be a lot more if I bothered to check.

Fine. Bravo! So what hope have you provided to replace the void left by Knowledge? What hope do you offer to a world bereft of humanity and controlled by greed, divisiveness and hate?
