Editor's Note: The quote is taken from a response given by Elan Vital in an article published on June 16, 2003 by the Bristol Evening Post (see my archive if link is dead.)
"Prem Rawat teaches no code, creed or dogma. He merely teaches a practical path to inner happiness."
By "practical", I assume he means, "physical" because there is nothing practical about giving your mind to someone else to control. And there is nothing practical about squeezing your eyes until they hurt or pushing your thumbs into your ears, or breathing until you are about to hyperventilate -- and there is especially nothing practical about trying to swallow your tongue and tasting your snot in the back or your throat!! ha ha
I think he means that he teaches 4 weird-ass techniques that have been around for hundreds of years, to people who are willing to offer him financial support. Let's keep it real here!
