- 20th May 1974: Guru Maharaj Ji, 16 years old, marries Marolyn Johnson, 24 years old, in Denver. Marolyn is named "Durga Ji" and premies are taught she is their Divine Mother. Premies are given Agya that Prem Rawat alone gives instruction and his mother and two older brothers are no longer part of Holy Family presented to Prem Rawat's followers. They initially live in a suburban Denver home

- 1976 there is change in how Guru Maharaj Ji is presented, as humanitarian leader. Most premies do not understand this is because of bad press and at encouragment of Bob Mishler. That summer premies bow at recieving lines instead of kissing his feet. Mahatmas are now called Initiators. The donations drop precipitously with the change from Lord to Leader, and Prem Rawatreportedly worried about his financial situation and balked.

- 17th September 1976: Birth Of Hans Rawat ( his birth also carried by AP, like his sister he was born at home at the Malibu compound.
- Maharaji's 19th Birthday Celebration, Atlantic City New Jersey, December 18 & 19. Most former followers believe this is when Prem Rawat/Guru Maharaj Ji began to again publicly demand devotion and restart the Darshan lines, foot kissing. Some refer to this as the reboot of the "Heavy Devotional Era"
- 1977 continues to tour world. Demands for devotion increase festivals and satsangs focus intensely of Guru Maharaj Ji's divinity. Single premies without children or debt are strongly encouraged to join Ashrams.
- Niece Navlata (Navi) Rawat was born June 5 to Raja Ji Rawat and Claudia. Navlata is brought on stage frequently along with Premlata and Hans. (Navi as an adult is an actor is in House of Sand and Fog, The OC, married Nick Nolte's son Brawley 2012)

DECA project refurbishing a 707 happening in Miami with many premies ordered to move to Miami and living in South Miami beach motels in poor conditions. Much pressure on any premie in a position to join ashram to do so. 1980 visited India for the first time since 1975
- 12/18/1980 death of Bob Mishler and wife and unborn child in medical evacuation from St. Barts to Miami.

1983 Divine Light Mission ashrams are closed. Divine Light Mission becomes Elan Vital. Nightly satsang meetings where premies speak ended. All tapes, videos, magazines, etc to be destroyed. Declares Himself (himself?) to be human, New York, June 14 1985

Prem Rawat seems to subscribe to the notion that "When In India …" because he is now promoted as an inspirational teacher who speaks in non-religious concepts in the west but in India, he is still the incarnation of God who reveals God and who is greater than God. thank you Prem Rawat Bio for saving the history.
