Possibly the outdoor Orlando festivals in the orange groves.

Like PatD, my first thought was Rome. Then Millennium, which was a dud and I'm glad I missed it. Then, as Swimming Free suggested, maybe the outdoor Kissimmee events? None were very big... they just seemed like it at the time because they boosted my feeling of validation for such drastic life decisions.
Actually I'm replying because of the darshan line donations. I mentioned awhile ago that in about 1977, initiators were handing out premies' darshan line gifts randomly to ashram premies. I still have the one given to me hanging on a wall.
That's because if valued by sincerity, they were priceless -- just like your cards and flowers.

If my memory still works the Kissimme programs in 1978 and 79 were reported to have up to 20,000 attendees. It was probably nearer 10,000 but still beats all the other contenders. prem-rawat-bio.org has a good analysis of the numbers game at http://www.prem-rawat-bio.org/stats/stats.html

10,000 sounds about right. Those events may have been the peak of the ashram, heavy devotion and (awkward) crown/flower dancing era. At the second one in 1979, I couldn't feel anything no matter how hard I tried. Frustrated one night (after 10k people sang Arti) I was walking back to my tent with a towel over my shoulder. I came across a bucket on the ground near the food service area. Utterly discouraged, I kicked the bucket and threw in the towel. It's nauseating to recall how many times we watched videos of those "satsangs" for years following those events.
Hope you and your loved ones are well. It's impossible not to think of you given your proximity to Ukraine and so many refugees.

You're supposed to throw in the towel before you kick the bucket lakeshore, but I guess in topsy turvy world it can happen the other way round.
I never made it to Kissimmee & hearing stories later I was glad I hadn't. My main source said it was like complete madness, but divine dontcha know, so that was ok.
Apparently a planeload of premies from England got to the airport afterwards only to find there was no plane. The guy who had organised the charter, one of the early days DLM super premies, hadn't thought it was important to pay for the return leg. LILA ho ho ho, the universe will provide, & all the rest of the ghastly brain damage soup we all slurped up.
Actually, eventually, the good old British taxpayer paid up as the Embassy got involved, the passengers being largely indigent by then, not insured, & just hanging around the airport being totally useless whilst quietly hustling for food & drink.
